What is SHA?

• The Suriname Hotel Association was established on march 5, 1998. It’s goal is to look after it’s members interests and to promote and improve the hotel accommodation sector and tourism in Suriname.
• The Suriname Hotel Association is also aiming at promoting closer fellowship with hoteliers and foster a good working relationship with the Government;
• The Suriname Hotel Association is a non-profit, non-government organization. It’s regular membership is comprised primarily of hoteliers, guesthouses, apartments and a category of allied members;
• The Suriname Hotel Association holds a seat on the Board of the Tourism Union of the Republic of Suriname, the country’s largest tourism private sector organization;
• The Suriname Hotel Association is Suriname’s first hotel private sector organization to become a member of the Caribbean Hotel Association, giving us the opportunity to position our destination within the Caribbean.
