Year program Suriname Hotel Association(SHA) 2007 

Since tourism is ‘in the lift' at the moment the need arises to prepare ourselves as hotels even better than before in order accommodate our guests in an appropriate manner. Development of the hotel product is thus of great importance to us.

• Training programs:
Last year the SHA started with facilitating trainingprograms for employees working in the hotel sector.The planning was to schedule training sessions on various topics related to the tourism industry. This year another four sessions are on the agenda. One already took place last month.

• Membership growth:
Another goal for this year is to expand SHA's membership.Aggresive recruitment activities will be started up. “The more the marrier” as the saying goes. Teambuilding will result in the development of a better product.

• Development of our website :
The importance of a professional website must not be underestimated. The possibility is available for all members to be linked to the site of the SHA.The SHA website is again linked to the site of the Caribbean Hotel Association(CHA), which is one of the largest regional partners in tourism within the Caribbean.
